Political Asylum

The Firm has significant experience and success in representing asylum seekers both before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (UCSIC) and the Immigration Court. Ms. Ferguson serves on the South Florida AILA Asylum Committee and the AILA National Refugee and Asylum Committee. We have successfully represented asylum seekers from countries all over the world including, Belarus, Burma, Colombia, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras and Iraq. We have also successfully obtained political asylum for victims of domestic violence. The firm has developed an extensive database of human rights documentation and a network of academic and lay and expert witnesses who can lend invaluable support to an individual's asylum application.
