Bonds
In recent years, Immigration & Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) officials have increased their rate of enforcement and detention of undocumented foreign nationals. Our firm has significant experience and success in representing detained individuals in bond and custody redetermination proceedings. If your loved one has been detained by ICE officials, he or she may be eligible for release on bond. Individuals who do not apply for release on bond must undergo their immigration court proceedings while remaining detained, which in some cases may take 6 months to a year. Do not let your loved one languish in an immigration detention center when he or she may be eligible for release on bond.
Most foreign nationals who do not have criminal convictions and are not security threats to the U.S. are eligible for release on bond. However, many foreign nationals with criminal convictions may be subject to mandatory detention, making him or her ineligible for release on bond. Our firm has successfully represented many individuals in custody redetermination proceedings where we have successfully argued that the crime for which the detained individual was convicted does not render him subject to mandatory detention; therefore, making the individual eligible for release on bond. If your loved one has been detained by ICE officials, do not waste any time! Schedule a consultation with our office as soon as possible to determine if he or she may be eligible for release on bond.
